Hi, another update.

Trudging through my set still. Depressed, as always. I’ve started 2 of my classes this term, SPN and ENG. Eh.

As for independent study, I am reading Graeber’s “Dawn of Everything”, having just-ish finished his “Debt” and “Pirate Enlightenment”. Going through “New Jim Crow” at a slow pace, and trying to touch Heidegger/Butler again… and Foucault =(.

Writing more raps, been making music with my bestie in here. She just got out of the hole, from some D.C fuckery. We’ll be recording the Saturday next (7/13/24).

Other news, got a mechanical pencil finally, and was able to acquire a nice new chain, rope-like silver. My friend and I (not the one above, another) have been enjoying ourselves in here, mostly playing games or watching movies.

Poetry continues. I’m at like 1-2 sonnets per week. Keeping up form as I continue to procrastinate Book 2 of “The Demos”, knowing I still have a ways before Book 1 is even published/finished. Still, the current draft of Book 1 is stellar – I’ve been sampling it in here, to surprise (at length 00 of lines and taking 8 months to write).

I think my more prosaic book is on the backburner – it is wanting to wait until Butler/Foucault/Heidegger are done. And I think music is the vibe rn, with this chance to colab with established prison talent.
